Yes it does still taste like liver but the other ingredients help make the Pate more enjoyable
Ingredients
12 oz. Beef Liver, cut in slices
1 Garlic, clove chopped (Optional)
2 Tbsp. Beef Tallow for frying
7 oz. Beef Salami
2 Tbsp. Beef Tallow for frying
3 Egg Yokes, large
¼ c. Beef Tallow, melted
½ tsp. Sea Salt
¼ tsp. Black Pepper
1 tsp. Basil, dried (optional)
½ tsp. Oregano, dried (optional)
1/8 c. Beef Tallow, melted
Preparation
Add Beef Tallow 2 Tbsp. to frying pan and add the Beef Liver and Garlic to pan fry until just a little pink in middle of the pieces of liver
Place Beef Liver, and Garlic into a food processor
Add Beef Tallow 2 Tbsp. to frying pan add Beef Salami in same frying pan, fry until it starts to brown a little
Place Beef Salami and Beef Tallow into food processor
Beat until fairly smooth
Add remaining ingredients except for 1/8 c. Beef Tallow
Beat well and until all is mixed in and smooth
Parchment paper a loaf pan 8.5 x 4.5 inch
Add pate mixture and press it down
Pour melted 1/8 c. Beef Tallow over the top of your pate
Place in the fridge overnight
Cut and move to a lidded container
Enjoy
